The International Academic Forum on Nursing Practice and Research is a distinguished global platform convening leading nursing scientists, clinical educators, and healthcare policy experts. Now in its first edition, the Forum brings together those advancing the evidentiary and translational foundations of contemporary nursing practice.

Held under the banner of the Sakura Nursing Forum 2027, this year’s meeting is guided by the theme: Education, Innovation, and Clinical Practice in Nursing. The programme is designed to foster rigorous scientific exchange across disciplines, integrating research, clinical application, and health system innovation.

The Forum will take place on 12-13 May 2027 in Tokyo, Japan. Timed to coincide with Japan’s spring season, the meeting offers an environment that combines scholarly depth with cultural refinement.

Across two focused days, the Forum features plenary lectures, curated symposia, and peer-reviewed scientific presentations. Delegates will engage in critical dialogue, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the exchange of research that informs practice, education, and policy at a global level.

Why This Forum

  • Bridging research, education, and clinical practice
  • Advancing evidence-based nursing across health systems
  • Fostering international academic collaboration
  • Supporting the translation of research into clinical impact
